Devotional ~ Perfect Peace

Perfect peace. In the chaos we live in it can be hard to find peace much less perfect peace. But there is One who will give us that as we focus on Him. We can trust that He will take the reins of chaos and give us the peace that we seek. And that – keeping our mind on Him – can be a challenge in and of itself with all of the distractions in our way.

There is a place where you can go to shut out the noise of world and get on your knees seeking the Lord. A secret place where it is just you and the Lord. A place where He will speak to you if you are quiet and listen for His voice. As you spend time here you will learn His voice. When you leave your secret place and enter back into the chaos His perfect peace will reign making it easier to maneuver life’s bumps.

Father, thank You for Your grace and mercy. For the wisdom that You impart to us. For guiding our footsteps and making our paths straight. As we seek You in our quiet room, give us ears to hear. May You be the center and focus of our thoughts all the days of our lives. I praise You and thank You in Jesus name amen.

Devotional ~ He Chose You

Jesus chose you. And it started with:

Love.

As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.

John 15:9

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

John 15:13,14

Jesus paid the ultimate price for us by laying down His life for us. Let that sink in for a moment as you consider His next words: You are my friends if you do whatever I command you. Friends. Jesus pays for our sins, and then as only He can do, He turns around and calls us His friend. A friend who is more powerful than anything or anyone we will face. A forever friend who will never leave us because He chose us. He asks one thing, that we obey Him. It all began with love. His love for you as He chose you to be His.

God bless! ❤

Devotional ~ Joy In The Trials

Really? Joy in our trials? Who wants to be joyful when faced with situations that seem impossible to handle? Yet James tells us that is what we should do. Be joyful in our trials. Sometimes those trials seem so daunting that there is no way to find joy. But we don’t have to look for something in that situation to be joyful about it. We just have to choose to be joyful.

Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

James 1:3

Have you ever prayed for patience and heard people say: Be careful what you pray for? Usually you will experience trials of some sort. And yet in order to receive the patience we ask for; we have to have some sort of trial. When everything is going right and we have no worries it is hard to learn patience. But when faith is tested our reward is patience. The next time you are faced with something that seems overwhelming remember this promise:

But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

James 1:4

God bless! ❤

Devotional ~ God Saw That It Was Good

God separated the waters and dry land appeared. Can’t you just see it happening? I imagine that must have been an amazing sight to see. He separated it, He created dry land, and He saw that it was good. Now doesn’t that tell you something right there? God, our Creator, our Father, stopped and looked and saw that what He created was good.

If God stopped to see that what He created was good shouldn’t we take the time to see the amazing things that He creates every single day to share with us to enjoy? Think how much more amazing and awesome it will be when there is no more suffering, no more sin. Then think about the fact that while we are living in a fallen world, God creates beauty all around us to lift us up. Can you see just how much you are truly loved? God bless and have an awesome day! ❤

Father, Open our eyes to see Your love surrounding us in the beauty that You create daily for us to see. May we always honor You and make the time to see and to enjoy what You so graciously share with us. In Jesus name amen.

Devotional ~ His Comfort

I love how God reminds us just how much He cares for us. I’m sure we have all experienced anxiety of some form. The twisted up feeling inside that seems to consume and take over our lives. But God. But God provides a way out of that twisted up feeling. His comfort brings us peace. It brings us a rest and restoration for a weary soul. Are you anxious about something? Do you find yourself fretting over things you have no control over? Turn those anxious thoughts over to the One who can give you the peace, rest, and renewal of your soul that you seek.

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 16:27

God bless and have a peaceful and joy filled day.
