They Left It All Behind

Greetings! I hope you had a blessed weekend. (Or weekday depending on when you are reading this post. 😊) The disciples had a decision to make. They had seen the people coming to listen to the Teacher. They had seen the result of being obedient when Jesus had instructed Simon to go further out and drop his nets even though he had his doubts. After all, after a night of fishing, there had been no fish. The nets were so full that he had to call for help. The choice of family or following this Man couldn’t have been an easy choice and yet…they dropped everything and followed Him. They came ashore and followed Him. As Christians, we are called to share the gospel with others. Some are called to drop everything and travel around the world sharing the Gospel. Others have a ministry in their own community to reach the lost right where they are. Whether you are called to the mission field around the world or the mission field in your own backyard, I pray the love, compassion, mercy, and forgiveness that Jesus extends to you spill over so much that people see Him shining in and through you that they want to know more about Him.
