Strength & Song

When you are tired, praise Him. When you are weak, praise Him. When you feel hopeless, praise Him. It is easy to praise the Lord, to give thanks to the Father when things are going well. When life hits a bump, or we feel tired and weak, sometimes we forget to turn to the Father, to praise Him for a new day or seeing us through that tough spot in our lives when all seems hopeless.

Was there a time in your life when it seemed as though everything was upside down and you weren’t so sure it would be right again? Or maybe you are going through something right now and it feels as though you’ll never see the light at the end of the tunnel. The Lord is your strength, sing a song of praise to the Father especially when you don’t feel like it. As you praise Him in the middle of the storm, He will lift you up. He will walk with you through it and give you the strength to endure. But here is the thing… sometimes you may not feel it until after the storm has passed and you are on the other side of it.

When life seems overwhelming and you think you can’t handle anymore, turn it over to the Father and sing a song of praise. Praise Him and honor Him and watch as He takes you through it to the other side. God bless! ❤

Abba, Your mercy and grace are new every morning. May we seek You out every day praising and honoring You. Help us to remember when trials come where our strength comes from and to turn toward You. Thank You for loving us and strengthening us to face today. Amen.

Devotional ~ God Saw That It Was Good

God separated the waters and dry land appeared. Can’t you just see it happening? I imagine that must have been an amazing sight to see. He separated it, He created dry land, and He saw that it was good. Now doesn’t that tell you something right there? God, our Creator, our Father, stopped and looked and saw that what He created was good.

If God stopped to see that what He created was good shouldn’t we take the time to see the amazing things that He creates every single day to share with us to enjoy? Think how much more amazing and awesome it will be when there is no more suffering, no more sin. Then think about the fact that while we are living in a fallen world, God creates beauty all around us to lift us up. Can you see just how much you are truly loved? Father, Open our eyes to see Your love surrounding us in the beauty that You create daily for us to see. May we always honor You and make the time to see and to enjoy what You so graciously share with us. In Jesus name amen.

Devotional ~ His Comfort

I love how God reminds us just how much He cares for us. I’m sure we have all experienced anxiety of some form. The twisted up feeling inside that seems to consume and take over our lives. But God. But God provides a way out of that twisted up feeling. His comfort brings us peace. It brings us a rest and restoration for a weary soul. Are you anxious about something? Do you find yourself fretting over things you have no control over? Turn those anxious thoughts over to the One who can give you the peace, rest, and renewal of your soul that you seek.

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 16:27

Devotional ~ The Thief And Life

The enemy wants to destroy man. Jesus wants to bring abundant life to man. His love for us is more than we can ever imagine or begin to understand. He died for us! Even before we were born, Jesus took our sins upon His shoulders. The enemy comes to kill and destroy, Jesus came to bring life. Who do you want in your life?

Father, may we have ears to hear Your voice speaking to us, and eyes to see the truth before us. May we put our trust in You, and seek You daily. May we share with others Your love for them and honor and glorify You in all that we do. In Jesus name amen.

Devotional ~ His Wonderful Works

I have always had a fascination with clouds. There is something about looking to the sky and seeing the many different types of clouds that God fills the skies with and the array of colors that He splashes across His canvas. The background in the above photo is one of many photos that I’ve taken so that I can learn how to paint a sky. If you are going to learn, might as well learn from the Master. (At least that is how I see it for me. 😉 ) The way He splashes the colors across the sky, the many types of clouds that He paints, oh it is so amazing.

Imagine being on a mountain top watching a sunrise or a sunset, God’s Country that’s what I call it. It’s as though you can reach out and touch the sky. Touch His masterpiece. God’s works, where to begin? His love? His thoughts toward us? There are no words in man’s vocabulary that can begin to describe the depth of His love, of His thoughts toward us.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

His thoughts definitely: More than can be numbered.

Father, I praise You and thank You for Your love toward us. You could have turned away from us. Instead You had planned for mankind’s failure. Thank You for the precious gift of life, that we don’t deserve, and yet You offer to us, through Your Son, Jesus. Thank You Jesus for teaching us obedience, teaching us how to love, by showing us how much You love the Father by honoring and obeying Him. May we follow in Your footsteps. In Jesus name amen.
